Bernard Roche

Originally from Dun Laoghaire, Bernard Roche moved to Naas in 1997 and is married with three children. Bernard has a H.Dip of Ed, an M. Ed and has taught at primary and secondary level. He took up guitar at the age of 14 and hasn't put it down since, and has played with a variety of bands and styles down through the decades. Bernard writes songs and two songs from his recent album were featured on RTE Radio on the Creedon Show and Neil Toner’s “Roots Freeway”. Bernard performs his songs with acoustic band Sorrel Hill, but also plays music regularly in the Naas area (Lawlors Hotel, Mc Cormacks Bar, Kilashee Hotel) with Philip Heak as "3 's a Crowd", featuring folk, trad and contemporary songs, Apart from playing guitar, Bernard also plays piano and currently directs a choir in the Ballycane church.
